Addressing England’s Water Quality: What Can Be Done?
19 March @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Just 15% of England’s river stretches are in good ecological health and none are in good overall status. At this free panel event, Mark Lloyd (CEO, The Rivers Trust) and Helen Wakeham (Director of Water, Environment Agency) discuss what needs to be done to tackle the problems and restore waterways to health. How can we address monitoring and policy gaps, and how do we make sure that the solutions put in place are fit for the future as new threats emerge? The event will be chaired by Dame Fiona Reynolds, and there will be time for audience questions.
