Bath Medical Museum Celebration of Midsummer
21 June @ 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Bath Medical Museum are excited for the plans that talented local musicians BMM Trustee Cheryl Celia Lui and Bath Spa post graduate Violet Wong are drawing up for the BMM celebration of midsummer in the glorious acres of The Newton Park Pleasure Grounds and the glorious acoustic of The Michael Tippet Centre, the only purpose-built space for chamber and small ensemble music in the area and inspired by the world famous Snape Maltings Arts complex.
Cheryl says she wants “everyone to join in an unforgettable celebration of music, culture, and connection as we gather to raise funds for the Bath Medical Museum. This event invites us to reflect on the universal language of music – a language that transcends borders, unites hearts, and nurtures wellbeing for all.”
And Violet adds, “ We are giving local young musicians from 4 to 30 years old, a chance for everyone to share in their enthusiasm and skills after enjoying the romance of walks and picnics in the Capability Brown/Humphrey Repton pleasure grounds of lakes, dams, weirs, a garden temple, an amphitheatre, a Norman Castle Keep on its mound and a landscape teeming with wildlife.”
It will take place on Saturday June 31st, from 3pm to 8pm on The Newton St Loe Campus of the University Bath, three miles out of Bath just off the A4 into Bristol and it is open to everyone, most especially Bath and Bristol families.
“Bath Medical Museum is desperately in need of funds to continue its wonderful programme of ‘Well Being Activities’ and Bath’s two and a half millennia story of Medical Research and Healing,” explains Cheryl. “That’s why we are calling the event: ‘Harmony Across Cultures – International Wellbeing Through Music’ because we want it to be an unforgettable celebration of burgeoning life, music, culture, and humane connection.”
