For Professor Robert Beckford (Queen’s Foundation & Vu University, Amsterdam) it is a building that resonates with his relationship to his name, his family, his activism and campaign for restorative justice. For Professor Shawn Sobers (UWE), it is a building integral to the place he was born, his exploration of narratives of belonging, trans Atlantic chattel slavery and relationship with the Edward Colston statue.
