Bioregioning & A Florishing Future
6 March @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Bioregioning & a flourishing future – belonging, place & redefining growth
There is a debate between those advocating the need to live a life within planetary limits, and others who see environmental restraints on consumption (like limits on fossil fuels, for example) as impediments to human flourishing. Could a place-based bioregioning story of thriving – for all life – be a critical reconciler of the two? What would we need to bring this alive?
Paul Pivcevic believes that working with Nature and cherishing our planet is the only chance of sustaining our resilience and our thriving into the future. Paul is a regenerative systems designer, and author of the allegory satirising our addiction to left hemisphere thinking, The Crow and The Deer (Troubador Publishing, 2025). He is a consultant in organisational change, working in three bioregions in the west of England – here, within what he calls the “waters of the Avon”; south Devon and the Forest of Dean.
