In this fun, colourful visible mending workshop, artist Anna Chapman- Andrews will take you through a few examples before choosing a design, colour palette and techniques – from felting to embroidery – which you’ll use to make your own embroidered felt patch. With expert guidance, enthusiastic support and your own creative courage, add beauty to your existing belongings and give them a whole new lease of life.

This will be a very relaxed workshop, suitable for all abilities.

About the artist:

Anna has been making and mending for as long as she can remember: learning about saws and soldering irons at her father’s knee; then as a fine art and ceramics scholar, before life aboard her first houseboat cemented her passion for creating, repairing and making do.

“Visible mending builds on the idea of functional repair to extend the life of a broken object while exploring our creativity and ingenuity, inviting us to love what we have anew through a satisfying process of repairing our belongings.”

Anna is also in the process of creating Love Makers Craft Cafe – follow along at @lovemakerscafe
