Fabian Muller Plays Brahms and Beethoven
24 May @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Fabian Muller, piano
Brahms: Piano Sonata No 3 in F minor Op 5
Ludwig van Beethoven: Piano Sonata No.23 in F minor Op 57 Appassionata
Beethoven’s Appassionata sonata is one of Beethoven’s greatest and was accurately described by Lenin (of all people!) as ‘an astonishing and superhuman work of music’. It has remarkable emotional power and drive and is a huge challenge for the finest of pianists. Fabian Muller is one of the most exciting young talents around and this concert, which also includes Brahms’s early masterpiece, will surely be a delight for all who enjoy great piano playing.
