Belly Laughs at The Coconut Tree

Belly Laughs is returning to Bath! Get ready to enjoy a month of surprise comedy gigs set to leave you in stitches, popping up in the best food and drink spots across the city!

This sell-out comedy festival pairs hilarious acts with delicious food, all in the name of supporting independent businesses and raising money for charity. For an added element of surprise, the comedians are kept secret until the night itself – expect a mix of known comics and exciting up-and-coming acts!

Previous big-name acts include Jon Richardson, Abi Clarke, John Robins, Jayde Adams and Joe Wilkinson. The comedians offer their time for free in order to support this amazing event!

Your ticket includes:

  • Hopper

A bowl-shaped coconut milk pancake served with coconut sambol, seen sambo (caramelised onions with a hint of cinnamon) & lunu miris (Sri Lankan salsa) (VE, VG, GF)

  • Dhal (VE)

A rich and creamy blend of lentils, SL spices and coconut milk, slow- cooked to perfection.

  • 5C’S

A zesty mix of 5C’S: carrots, coriander, chilli, coconut & cucumber.

  • Kotthu This fine example of Sri Lankan street food is served all over the country and is made with chopped rotti and curry sauce

  • Lamb Cutlets

Three crispy balls Colombo-style fried filled with quality cheese cubes with British minced lamb, sticky sauce a family big island flavours & a pot of tangy pineapple ketchup.

  • Wadey Wadey

These crispy bite-sized beauties pack a chilli punch with warm spices mixed with yellow lentils

  • Black Pork

Pork belly slow-cooked in roasted TCT spices, a secret FAVE mixccourtesy of our ‘Granny Gertie’

Tender pumpkin cooked in coconut cream, curry Leaves, pandan leaves & mustard seeds.

The Coconut Tree:

We want to give everyone a taste of Sri Lankan family hospitality, with an authentic affordable menu delivering delicious dishes and fantastic flavours combined with fun Cocotails and a relaxed island vibe. Seating will be at shared tables.

Supporting Julian House:

£10 from every ticket sale goes towards supporting Julian House, who support vulnerable and at-risk people across the South West, including those experiencing homelessness, domestic abuse, refugee resettlement and more.
