‘Phenomenal Women’ with Hilary Salzman

21 November @ 5:30 pm 7:30 pm

Inspired by the poem written by Maya Angelou, ‘Phenomenal Woman’ the Gainsborough Hotel launched a series in 2018 inviting women from all backgrounds who have achieved recognition and made a significant impact in their field to share their experiences and challenges encountered in their path to success.

The Gainsborough’s fourth ‘Phenomenal Women’ guest speaker for 2024 is Hilary Salzman on Thursday 21st of November.

Hilary Salzman is a business storyteller, writer, podcast host, and speaker dedicated to helping female business owners who struggle to use their voices and tell their stories confidently.

Hilary brings a unique and refreshing blend of professional storytelling and marketing experience and a personal journey that resonates powerfully with many other women. She is candid about the twists and turns of her career from corporate brand marketing to the marketing agency she co-founded and, five years later, leaving the six-figure salary behind to build a storytelling business on her terms. She intimately understands the struggle of being authentic in a world clouded by self- doubt and limiting beliefs.

Her debut non-fiction book The Roar of Her Story – How To Tell Everyday Stories to Attract Your Dream Clients and Build a Business That’s Unapologetically You reflects a much-needed shift from #girlboss culture towards a more authentic, fulfilling approach to business. It encourages women to set their own personal benchmarks for success, empowers them to make meaningful life changes and provides practical advice on building a brand story that reflects their true selves.

Hilary’s ‘The Everyday Storyteller’ podcast was shortlisted for Business and

Self Improvement Podcast of the Year at the Independent Podcast Awards 2023 and ‘Moment of Entrepreneurial Inspiration’ at the International Women in Podcasting Awards 2023. Hilary is a regular speaker on storytelling topics and a guest lecturer at Oxford Brookes University. She lives in Wiltshire with her partner Tim, daughter Esme, and golden retriever Charlie.
