Plants into Inks

In conjunction with the exhibition “Magic & Medicine’ at Sandra Higgins Art Gallery in Bath, Fiona McIntyre will be giving 2 separate workshops on the alchemy of ink-making working with organic materials room trees and plants. Fiona will transform flowers and tree material to make three primary colours + black and brown using mordants and alchemy. She will also give some background to these ancient recipes and their historical significance. You will take home painted samples on cotton-rag paper and printed recipes from the demonstration.
