Sara Pascoe and Cariad Lloyd

18 May @ 7:30 pm 8:30 pm

Cariad-Lloyd-and-Sara-Pascoe

A very special evening with comedians, authors and long-term friends Sara Pascoe and Cariad Lloyd (co-hosts of the Weirdos Book Club podcast), celebrating the paperback publication of Sara’s hilarious and touching debut novel, Weirdo.

Weirdo follows Sophie, an existential Essex girl battling low-level paranoia in her search for happiness and truth. All Sophie wants to do is act like a normal, well-adjusted person and not say any of her inner monologue out loud. If she can suppress her pornographic visualisations and pathological lying, who knows, maybe she can get out of debt, dump her current boyfriend and try to enjoy Christmas with her awful family? Don’t miss this wise, warm and funny event.

Praise for Weirdo:

‘Quietly profound and laughing-in-public funny’ – Caitlin Moran

‘Funny. . . the humour is always anchored in spot-on observation’ – Elizabeth Day
