Seated Dance Under the Sun

Sponsored by Bath Institute for Rheumatic Diseases as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations, this event within the ReBalance festival, led by Sam Grief aims to build confidence, a sense of togetherness and fun in those with movement restrictions such as – but not only – patients with arthritis, bone and joint conditions. All are welcome to this seated dance workshop and to experience the sun like never before with Luke Jerram’s Helios.
Held at Bath Assembly Rooms, a place where in Georgian times people came to learn to dance having taken the curative spring waters in the morning, so seated dance for those with arthritis or similar is in the spirit of a long tradition! Of course, you may want to check with your GP that this is an appropriate activity for you, if you’re in any doubt.
