Secular and sacred – a musical pilgrimage, with Musicke in the Ayre

Soprano Maria Danishvar and lutenist Din Ghani explore some of their favourite songs (both secular and sacred) in a musical journey from England through France and Spain towards Italy, the birthplace of the Baroque. Including songs by some of the most famous composers of the day such as John Dowland and Claudio Monteverdi, not to mention the remarkable Barbara Strozzi.
