See Bath from the river in a kayak or canoe

Seen paddlers on the River Avon in central Bath and wanted to join them? Or want something different to do when visiting Bath? Now’s your chance!

Start your kayaking journey from Saturday 19th April with a Bath Canoe Club Start Award – have fun on the water and learn the basic skills. Sessions run every other Saturday over the summer.

For just £20 per person, you can join a coached taster session, learn simple paddle strokes, take part in group games and, maybe even play (safely) on Pulteney Weir! Whether you’re looking for a one-off experience you’ll never forget, or you’re keen to find out if paddling is for you, we’d love to take you out on the water.

Or go straight for our 6-week Paddle Discover Award – we help you develop your confidence and skill on the water! These start either Tuesday 13th or Thursday 29th May.

Then, once you’ve completed the course, you can paddle independently, join our amazing club trips, whether your thing is a placid day out on the river, the thrill of white-water, or a bracing sea voyage.
