“Great songwriting… beautifully crafted lyrics” Maverick

“She is fully aware of the entire creative process and the craft of serving the song.” Rob Bozas, Publisher (Peter Gabriel, David Bowie).

“She is a truly gifted performer, and she is a great encourager. I was overwhelmed by her charm and helpfulness to less experienced writers. Truly a generous spirit.” London Song Company Summer School.

“From the first song she has me engaged….it isn’t just a piece of music it is a fantastic piece of storytelling.” Fatea

“Although her voice is nothing like Mitchell’s, she has a core strength that brings Blue to mind” Folk Radio UK

Jennifer Crook’s classic songwriting and finely crafted albums have been praised by BBC Radio 2, the folk and national press, and her engaging performances have won the hearts of audiences across the UK and Canada. She has appeared live in session for Bob Harris and contributed to Cerys Matthew’s programme ‘Girl With Guitar’ about Joni Mitchell. Collaborations include Eddi Reader, Boo Hewerdine and Nashville’s Darrell Scott. Jennifer’s song ‘Sea Glass’ written for Miranda Sykes is included on Roots 2 – The Best of Show of Hands. Her fifth album ‘The Broken Road Back Home’ with its universal themes and catchy radio-friendly chorus hooks, was co-produced with Stuart Bruce (Yes, Van Morrison, Art Garfunkel) and recently released on 12” vinyl. Recorded over the pandemic whilst Jennifer was completing her songwriting masters degree, the album draws from a deep well of personal experience.

“one of the year’s best albums” Folking
