‘Taking the waters’ with Lady Hetty

On Wednesday, February 14th, at 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm, delve into the world of Georgian High Society and Wellbeing with Lady Hetty Hetling, Bath’s amiable society hostess, at 1 Hetling Court.

Lady Hetling will explore leisure classes and their attire, the historical significance of tea and wellbeing, and the evolution of English tea as a social ritual for the leisured class. Engage in a conversational experience to understand how their lifestyle and dietary choices influenced wellbeing and health.

This is a ticketed event presented by Bath Medical Museum, at £5 per person, and admission is free for children.

The mission of Bath Medical Museum is to preserve and promote the history and importance of medicine in the city of Bath. Their collections include records dating back to the 1740s, as well as artefacts and photographs relating to rheumatology, medicine and pharmacy.
