Twenty years ago, it appeared that the Great Powers were a thing of the past. Now they have returned with a vengeance. But what is the future of the Great Powers? Is what we are seeing today mere surface turbulence, which obscures the deeper currents driving our world closer together as it addresses the fundamental problems of climate change and inequality?
Professor Brendan Simms will address these questions by reaching back into history to (try to) look farther forward.
