The Rondo Variety Show

The Rondo Theatre Company presents an evening of comedy, music and drama with the Rondo Variety Show.

Hosted by Nat Prescott, well-known on the Bath comedy circuit from regular appearances at Barrel of Laughs and the Poor Man’s Fringe, the Variety Show will feature a range of local comedians and musicians alongside actors from the Rondo Theatre Company.

This is the Rondo Theatre Company’s annual charity show, with all profits going to the ‘Revamp the Rondo’ fundraiser, which aims to replace the well-loved seats at the Rondo Theatre.

Each evening will begin with a performance of the brand-new, one-act play, ‘Yeah, Art Figures’ by Kim E. Ruyle, who recently won Best Stage Play and Best Script Overall at the Scriptwriters & Co International Festival. The play, directed by Benjamin Hardy-Phillips, sees disgruntled teacher Frank bemoan the ignorance of his students to substitute teacher, Joni. In conversation with Joni and other teachers, Frank discovers that his ignorance, in some ways, surpasses that of his students.

Following the play will be a stand-up comedy set and a live musical performance from a variety of local performers…

Comedy from Holly Leggett, a gloriously gloomy, Bath-based stand-up comedian whose humour has been described as unique, acerbic and… only a little bit dirty.
Music from Craig Mitchell’s Jukebox Mashup, which sees audience member’s song suggestions mashed together in one epic masterpiece live onstage.
