Trio Paradis Cafe Concert: Daughters of the Muse

23 February @ 3:30 pm 4:30 pm

Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan – piano, Lisa Betteridge – violin and Linda Stocks – cello) play a monthly cafe concert on the last Friday of each month (except December) at 3.30pm at St Michaels’s Church: informal music events which are ‘pay-what-you-feel’ with a retiring collection to cover the performers’ costs, to ensure all can attend.

St Michael’s Café is open before the concert, where you can meet friends and make new ones and then enjoy live music.

To mark International Women’s Day on 8 March, this month’s Café Concert programme is Daughters of the Muse – music by women composers, including Germaine Tailleferre, Lili Boulanger, Pauline Viardot, Rebecca Clark, Dora Bright and Rosalind Ellicott.

Concerts last c45mins and entrance is by donation, with a retiring collection. Refreshments – tea, coffee & home-made cakes – are available in St Michael’s Café before the concert. There’s no need to book, although RSVP’s are appreciated. Turn up early for best choice of seats as these concerts are bound to be popular!
