Wander along Abbeygate Street and you will come across the arch which was once the southern entrance to the Bath Abbey precinct (the ‘Abbey Gate’). Through the arch, you will find Abbey Green, a historic cobbled square that is home to a nineteenth-century London Plane tree, as well as a wonderful selection of independent shops and eateries.
