Xuefei Yang started playing the guitar aged seven, and was the first Chinese guitarist to study in the UK. Today she is acclaimed as one of the world’s finest classical guitarists. She makes a welcome return to the Bachfest for this lunchtime concert which showcases her own arrangements of Baroque works by Vivaldi and J S Bach, including the latter’s famous Air on the G String. A traditional Chinese work and a suite of dances by the late 17th century Spanish guitarist and composer, Gaspar Sanz, will further showcase Xuefei Yang’s superb artistry.
