This popular progamme starts with Mozart, a piece that the composer may have played himself with his sister Nannerl, then music from Tchaikovsky’s magical ballet for the Russian Imperial stage The Nutcracker Suite, and a joyous conclusion with Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances featuring the folk music of his native Bohemia.
