On 13th August, head to Bath for a Sun and Space Sunday Street Party as part of Summer Sundays. The Herschel Museum, The Herschel Society, Bath Astronomers, Toppings and Company, San Francisco Fudge Factory and Bath BID teamed up to create this unique family-friendly day dedicated to the sun and space.
The Sun and Space Sunday will be from 10am to 4pm. It will comprise lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy:
- After last year’s success, Bath Astronomy will be running workshops again on how to safely view the Sun with a telescope for the little ones and grown-ups to enjoy.
- The team of the Herschel Museum, Museum of Astronomy and the Herschel Society will be offering activities to learn more about the life of William Herschel, who discovered the planet Uranus in 1781, alongside craft activities for everyone to express their creativity.
- Topping Books and Company will display a selection of scientific and space-themed books to help science enthusiasts go further on their scientific journey and keep on learning.
- And, last but not least, San Francisco Fudge Factory will create some space-inspired treats!
