We speak to Will, General Manager of the Bath Gin Distillery Bar on Queen Street.
Tell us a bit about your business…
We have been operating in Bath since 2012 and offer a selection of hand-crafted, locally distilled gins from the heart of Bath in our distillery on Monmouth Street, which are then perfectly presented in our atmospheric gin bar on Queens Street.
We started off with our Distillery Classic Gin, an exotic twist on a London Dry and perfectly balanced. We then developed our Hopped Rhubarb Gin, a dry, crisp gin with a lovely earthy rhubarb aroma and aftertaste. However, one we are particularly proud of is our Orange Sloe Gin, the love child of a mulled wine and spiced sloe gin. It makes for an outstanding sipping drink that blows minds. Dubbed christmas in a bottle, by our Head Distiller, its versatility is unmatched. Have it on its own over ice, in a Sloe Gin Negroni or with a ginger ale tonic and you have yourself one mean drink.
Why Bath?
We love Bath because it’s unlike any other city in the UK. You’re surrounded by ancient architecture, a bustling city of creative minds and career opportunities.
Walk 15 minutes in any direction and you’re in a picturesque landscape where you can escape the fast paced centre and surround yourself with the vibrant countryside or relax by the river. It truly is one-of-a-kind.
