Public Protection and Venue Security Workshop

This in-person session, led by Avon and Somerset Police and Counter Terrorism Policing,  introduces key principles of effective public protection procedures, helping venues strengthen their approach to safety and security. Participants will explore practical considerations for their own settings, including risk awareness, staff responsibilities, and core safety messages.

The workshop will cover essential concepts such as evacuation and invacuation. A key focus will be on building stronger connections with neighbouring venues to support a collaborative security community across Bath.

Attendees will also take part in a tabletop exercise to test existing plans and procedures, with decision-making in a realistic scenario. The session lasts approximately two hours and includes time for questions and discussion.
