Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O’Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert at St Michael’s at 3.30pm on the last Friday of each month: informal music events
This month’s music is inspired by the traditional travelling people of Eastern Europe, with pieces including ‘Songs My Mother Taught Me’ by Dvořák, Haydn’s Gypsy Rondo, and various Dumkas and other dances.
This month’s programme is inspired by spirits and creatures of legend, including a mermaid, a water sprite, elves, a Greek God and a ghost.
August’s programme is inspired by trees and forests, with music by Sibelius (Birch and Fir trees, among others), Massenet (Lime Trees) and a forest scene from a Rimsky-Korsakov opera.
