Breakfast, lunch, or something in-between? We asked our local Welcome Ambassadors to recommend their favourite brunch venues in Bath.

Jenny
“We’re lucky to have a huge choice of places to go for brunch in Bath, but a few of my favourites are Boston Tea Party (I particularly recommend the sweetcorn hash), the Kingsmead Kitchen (for me it’s a toss-up between the shakshuka and the classic cooked breakfast) and the Courtyard Café (delicious pancake stacks and Havana toast).
All of these lovely independent cafes serve a variety of tempting brunch options in a really relaxed setting, with both inside and outside seating.”

“I recommend Bandook for their really lovely brunch menu. They make authentic Indian food that tastes exactly like what I eat at home as something with parents from Mumbai. Their chai and filter coffee are also delightful and the service is always really friendly. They also have fantastic vegetarian and vegan options.”

“Most cafes in Bath offer vegan options for breakfast (and even more vegetarian options). There are 3 out-and-out vegan cafes/restaurants in Bath open during the day.
The Green Rocket Cafe, 1 Pierrepont Street, offers everything from a fry-up breakfast to mashed avocado on sourdough. The all-day menu ironically is from 11:30 and everything from satay, burgers to ‘fysh’ cakes. It has both indoor and outdoor seating.
Plant.Eat.Licious in the Basement of Chapel Arts Centre, 9 Lower Borough Walls, is my favourite! Breakfast until 11:30 includes fry-up, pancakes, smashed avocado and facon baps. The all-day menu has a variety of interesting dishes (personally I love the cauliflower Poke bowls) and it has burgers, mushroom and other dishes. Only a few outdoor seats; it does take reservations.
Cascara, 3 Upper Borough Walls. This is a small friendly vegan cafe offering mashed avocado, toasties, salads and stews.”

“Head up Milsom Street to the Bartlett Quarter and, inside a fashionable shop, grab a table at Café Lucca (or sit outside if the sun is shining!). Known for its great home-made cakes, Café Lucca also serves lovely fresh salads and waffles, eggs, gourmet panini, all with attentive and friendly service.
This is definitely a great place for people-watching, and when you’ve had your fill of coffee, head into the shop to find some original furnishings and clothing items.”

“The fabulous Good Day Café offers all-day brunch and fabulous over-the-top brownies and bakes. The staff are always welcoming and happy. Another gem in Bath is Walcot House – breakfast is a great time to visit for fresh pastries and a relaxed-yet-deluxe vibe.”
