Bath – celebrating creativity

Written by Resolution Design

Bath Boules

Following another successful Bath Boules that brought together a host of local businesses to fundraise for Bath-based charities, the one-day sporting event has grown over the years into a creative extravaganza. Resolution Design was delighted to take part on Saturday and be part of the four-day festival with players in fancy dress, live bands entertaining the crowds and food & drinks stalls offering local produce and refreshments.

It fills everyone with excitement that many more festivals are planned for the remaining year,  the creative industry is booming, and Resolution Design is eager to support and promote as many as they can. Bath has always been pioneers within the leisure and tourism sector, welcoming millions of visitors each year to its famous landmarks, but Bath is also a city of creatives, with a strong creative reputation.

Wylde Creatures of Bath

Take The Wylde Creatures of Bath Trail for example, uniting local businesses to showcase the vibrant community spirit and creativity in the region. Sponsored by luxury jeweller Nicholas Wylde, its unique and visual concept will have the masses spending their summers spotting artistic wildlife on benches in and around Bath.

Resolution Design

Resolution Design

Resolution Design creates beautiful marketing to help businesses get noticed and to grow. Over the past 18 years we’ve worked with hundreds of startups and SMEs in the south west, helping them to make better marketing decisions and transform their brands, websites and digital marketing.

Resolution started in Wiltshire but we’ve been caught in Bath’s creative pull and are delighted to have a base in the heart of the city, at the House of St. John’s in Queen Square. As a respected marketing agency in the region, building a presence in Bath aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing exceptional creative and technical services to our clients.

Film Bath

FilmBath Festival

Resolution Design was a proud sponsor of Film Bath in 2023 and will be sponsoring again in 2024. Expertly curated by a team of local judges, the Film Bath Festival showcases many world class films that won’t come to local cinemas, allowing you to see tomorrow’s classics today. Film Bath also champions women in film, and since 2016 at least 50% of the films it screens have been directed by women.

The festival brings the film community together and includes workshops, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions with filmmakers, providing a unique opportunity for you to engage with the creative process and expand your filmic horizons. We can’t wait to find out what films will be coming our way at the festival in October.

House of Frankenstein

House of Frankenstein

Recently, we checked out Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein.  Located near the Jane Austen Centre, this attraction celebrates Shelley’s iconic novel. Bath, already known for its annual Jane Austen festival, now has another literary gem to offer visitors.

Immerse yourself in this imaginative experience, with the creative journey unfolding with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat (and sometimes out of it). The museum’s potential here is limitless, and as the copyright for Frankenstein is due to expire in 2026, we are excited to see what else the owners will deliver for us.

Creative Bath Awards

Creative Bath Awards

Creative Bath is the network for creative businesses, organisations and individuals in Bath, championing and connecting the creative community. The Creative Bath Awards are an annual celebration of Bath’s brilliant creative businesses and individuals, showcasing the incredible talent and innovation in our city.

Resolution Design had their first taste of the awards earlier this year and were delighted to be shortlisted as finalists. It is exciting to see more businesses contribute to Bath’s creative landscape and continue to bring that special spark to our community.

Radio Bath

Radio Bath

Radio Bath is another wonderful creative organisation in the city. Also shortlisted in the Bath Creative Awards, Radio Bath is a volunteer radio station broadcasting online and on DAB across Bath and surrounding areas. Radio Bath gives a voice to the local community, provides training and works to promote education, harmony, health and wellbeing in the city.
