Chase the Wild + The Vivas

Chase the Wild is a six-piece indie rock band based in Bath/Bristol. They draw influence from Australian and New Zealand indie bands such as Ocean Alley, Mako Road, and Sticky Fingers, as well as UK and US indie bands like The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys. Their sound blends the sunny, surf-inspired vibes of Australian indie with the slightly heavier UK indie/alt-rock scene, creating a distinctive fusion between Australian and UK indie music. Chase the Wild performs with infectious energy, enhanced by Freddie’s fun and engaging crowd interactions as a frontman, all combining to deliver a brilliant live show.
Formed in November 2023, they have gained significant momentum in a short time and recently supported Pentire at their sold-out Thekla show during the band’s second UK tour. Following the success of their first two singles, “Communication” and “Slide Away,” which have collectively surpassed 25,000 streams and been played on radio stations such as BBC Introducing in the South West, BBC Radio Bristol, and Amazing Radio, as well as being featured in Baby Steps Magazine, Chase the Wild is set to build on their momentum with their third single, “Nightmare”
The Vivas are an emerging indie rock band hailing from the southwest of England, known for their vibrant energy, gritty guitar-driven sound, and honest, anthemic songwriting. Formed in the summer of 2023, the band quickly found chemistry through a shared love of British indie rock icons like The Libertines, Inhaler, and The Royston Club.
What began as a casual hobby between friends has rapidly evolved into a serious creative project, fuelled by a passion for live performance and a deep bond formed through music. The band thrives on the thrill of the stage, combining sharp melodies with infectious choruses and raw, youthful spirit. Their dynamic sets are already earning them a reputation for tight musicianship and genuine connection with their audiences.
