Throwing Ceramics

During this Throwing Ceramics course, you’ll be shown the basic throwing skills on the pottery wheel under the guidance and support of Louise Blois, Technical Demonstrator – Ceramics at Bath Spa University. You’ll then explore making a variety of forms including cylinders, bowls, and plates with plenty of hands-on guidance.
After making your pieces you’ll explore surface decoration using Locksbrook Campus studio’s collection of decorative coloured slips, learning how to add colour to your pieces.
By the end of the course, you’ll have produced a series of custom ceramic pieces, which will then be fired for you to collect three – four weeks later.
